Exercise periods are an important part of the daily routine here at Sandy Pines. All dogs in the facility get to go outside up to four times a day depending upon the level of occupancy. The size of each playgroup range from one up to ten or twelve pets. Dogs are placed in groups according to size, breed and age. For example small dogs are in a group by themselves, all older dogs are place in a separate group and multiple pets from the same family are in a group by themselves. And there are some breeds that are classified as "singles", they go outside by themselves one on one with the staff member. It is important to note that all exercise periods are supervised. The staff member is watching each pet to make sure that everthing is ok and that there are no apparent problems with any of the dogs. If a problem is noted, immediate action is take in order to remedy the situation.
